Our mission at VERTEX Helicopters is to serve the needs of
the people and businesses in our region and to serve
our local communities with professionalism, excellence and
trust. VERTEX Helicopters is committed to the advancement
of the helicopter industry and the needs of the people who
depend on our product and services.
VERTEX Helicopters recently chose the Houston area to develop
a formal and standardized flight training facility and helicopter
operations base.
We are authorized under 14 CFR Part 61 of the Federal Aviation
Regulations (FARs) to provide helicopter pilot training for
those seeking to be certified as Private, Commercial, Instrument,
or ATP-rated helicopter pilots as well as training for those
who desire to become Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) or
Instrument Instructors (CFIIs).
We offer helicopter Instrument training, Instrument Flight
Instructor (CFII) training, and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
training in our Schweizer 300C & and MD500E helicopters.
We additionally offer Advanced Flight Training services such
as External Load Training.
We are one of the most experienced helicopter pilot training
facilities in the Houston area and, as far as we know, the
only helicopter training facility to offer external load training
in the southern Texas region.
We have a superior staff of pilots and flight instructors
with a vast amount of civilian and military helicopter aviation
experience. Our pilots and instructors have extensive experience,
and in some cases, have served as FAA Approved Check Airmen*
in the following aircraft models: |
Our aircraft are maintained to the highest industry standards,
and all of our pilots have extensive experience in either
military or commercial flight operations. Most of our pilots
average over 2,500 hours of flight time, ensuring that our
services are performed with Safety, Reliability, and years
of Experience!
